With more than thirty years of experience in all aspects of restaurant development, Bob Puccini has become the industry leader in the conception, design and development of destination restaurants within boutique and luxury hotels worldwide. His unique ability to survey markets and to develop concepts that best suit the potential customer base has enabled him to create over a hundred critically acclaimed establishments with distinct personalities for international clientele around the world

He has been awarded Hospitality Design Magazines' 19th Annual 2006 Platinum Circle Award This industry accolade pays tribute to those outstanding in the field of hospitality design and is recognized as one of the hospitality industry's highest honors.

Bob Puccini's specialization in creating personality restaurants has evolved as a result of his development career beginning with the Que Pasa group of family restaurants for the San Diego-based El Torito Company in the 1970s.

In 1989, Bob joined the Kimpton Hotel and Restaurant Group as Senior Vice President of Restaurants. Bob grew the restaurant division from four restaurants to eighteen restaurants and over 100 million dollars in revenue during his tenure. In 1996, Mr. Puccini left Kimpton, with Bill Kimpton as his partner, to start his own restaurant design, operations and consulting firm, The Puccini Group.

Bob serves on the Board of Directors for the California Restaurant Association and is Chairman of its Educational Foundation. He is also a member of the board of advisors of Golden Gate University’s Hotel and Restaurant

Management School, University of San Francisco’s Hospitality Management Program as well as the Hospitality Management Advisory Board of San Francisco State University. In 2004 he was inducted in to the World Travel and Tourism Council. He holds a BA in Political Science and Economics from San Diego State University and spent 1969 in Brazil with the Peace Corps.
