Professor Di Sabatino is the Dean of the School of Architecture and Design at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Di Sabatino was previously the Chair of the Department of Environmental Design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and a Visiting Professor at the Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and the National Institute of Design (NID), India. Di Sabatino was a Professor of Architecture and Urbanism at Woodbury University in Los Angeles, California, and was the founding Director of the Community Design and Urban Research Center in Hollywood. Dean Di Sabatino is a licensed architect in California, and has been in private practice in architecture and design. Di Sabatino has been as a visiting critic at numerous schools of architecture and design, and has spoken extensively on design, architecture, urbanism and education in various international venues.
